Great lunch at Green Snapper cafe, Colville
by: Anonymous

We had a good surprise today at Colville. Our first visit to Green Snapper Cafe. A luscious vegetable quiche and salad and mushrooms on ciabatta. Flat white and green tea. A perfect lunch after a motorbike ride to Fletchers Bay.
Make this cafe a destination whether you are on a motorbike trip or on holiday.

Far better than you'd expect from a small town cafe
by: James

Given that Colville 'town'consists of little more than a general store, post office and cafe we had reasonably low expectations when stopping at the Green Snapper Cafe for lunch.

The old wooden floors and tables, faded paintings and light shades that my wife remembered seeing at her Gran’s house as a child, gave the café a nice cozy feeling - helped further by a roaring log fire and the friendly welcome we received.

The blackboard menu wasn’t extensive but the selection of home made soups, salads, burgers and other brunch dishes all looked appealing. We opted for 2 deluxe beef burgers a flat white and an organic apple juice. The coffee was damn good (enough for my wife to comment and make me taste some) and the burgers were better than any I’ve tasted in years.

A perfectly toasted ciabatta bun housed a home made patty of premium quality beef, along with cheese, fresh lettuce, tomatoes and a delicious mustard seed and fruit chutney that also contained a subtle rosemary flavour.

The cafe also bake each day and as we paid we couldn’t resist a apple cinnamon and raison scone that the lady told us she'd cooked with cream instead of butter. The result was a soft, moist and very tasty cake.

If you’re passing through or staying in the area be sure to stop in. Even if its just for their great coffee and cakes.

Coromandel Peninsula New Zealand
by: Alisha

The Coromandel Peninsula is on the north eastern coast of the North Island of New Zealand. Coromandel Peninsula is a wonderful place to go in the vacations. It is a beautiful area filled with the mountains, sandy beaches, green rolling hills, and picturesque bays.
