I am a Czech man, 23 years old.
I am coming to New Zealand in a few months, and will be staying for at least one year. I want to work while I am in New Zealand, but am unsure if I need a visa to work.If so how do I get one?
Can you please help me.
Many Thanks
Patrik
Hi Patrik
You definitely will need a work visa. It will depend on what kind of work you want to do. We have schemes where you can work in agricultural jobs short term. You can also do a scheme where you work on a farm. You do not get paid but you get free board and accommodation. This can be from a few days to a few weeks. There are not so many jobs in the contruction industry at the moment with the downturn in the economy.
Go to http://www.immigration.govt.nz to find all the information on the visa you will require. It depends on how long you stay, what country you are from, and what you plan to do while you are here which is the correct visa for you.You can also download the forms you will require there.
I hope this is what you require,
Good Luck
