Kite boarding New Zealand

Surfing , sails and tricks on the waves!

alt.kite-boarding-New-Zealand-Auckland.jpg

Kite Boarding New Zealand has grown to be a very popular sport With the wind coming off the sea on both sides, we are a windy country, so just perfect for any wind propelled sport. Couple this with surfing and the combination was sure to be a hit in a country where surfing is so popular.

We have always had world class wind surfers and sail boarders, and now kite boarding or kite surfing is another dimension. They can surf the waves, with the aid of their sail or kite, which allows them to do jumps, tricks and all kinds of demanding manoeuvres. Judging from the ages I observed off a beach just north of Auckland the other day, it is a sport that appeals to a wide range of ages.
