If you are in the country at the right time you may be lucky to catch their sales. If you are a seamstress yourself, some designers also have sales of their fabrics ends.

Some of our cheaper stores actually stock a range designed for them by these New Zealand design gurus.

Farmer's have had a range specially designed for them and sell label clothes such as Hero and Liz Mitchell.

Ezi-Buy have several different labels within their store.( Although less well known New Zealand designers)

Glassons get 3 or 4 designers to create a T-shirt for breast cancer, or some other cause annually. These T shirts are reasonably priced yet are by New Zealand designers of some repute.

• We have a few special design shows that you may want to plan around. The Air New Zealand Fashion week is a big event for anyone in the industry.

• The Wearable Arts Awards Annual Competition is a quirky fun, fashion show with a difference. If you are interested in art this is a wonderful show to attend.Held in Wellington these days, more than a third of the competitors come from overseas.
