Return Visa – Those with a temporary residential return visa from Australia must get a visa to enter New Zealand. Any British citizen or British passport holder with the right to live in the UK is eligible for a 6 month Visitor’s Permit, or three month visa free travel. ALL OTHERS WILL REQUIRE : A visitor’s visa which is a multiple entry visa valid for 9 months maximum with in an 18 month time frame. A Visitor's Visa is: • An endorsement in your passport allowing you to travel to New Zealand for the purpose of visiting; or • An endorsement in your passport issued by immigration, if you are already in New Zealand and wish to travel out of New Zealand and return to New Zealand for the purpose of visiting. The Visitor's Visa shows you have permission to travel to New Zealand and you may be granted a Visitor's Permit on arrival. The visa may be for a single (one trip) or multiple (more than one trip) entry. All visitors must have: 1) A passport valid for 3 months PRIOR to your departure date 2) Be a genuine tourist and can show evidence of your intention to leave (i.e. hold a departure ticket) within the required time. 3) You must have proof that you have enough money to support yourself while you are in the country.
