Reply re Student in New Zealand

Gail,
Thanks a lot for your answer, it will be very helpful on my choice. Your experience is amazing (teaching English abroad), I guess that I found out the right person to ask about NZ.
Now, I believe Auckland can be the best destination for me. Because I will not have much time, in only one month, to know places far away from the downtown, as you said. I am going to homestay.

Be sure I will follow your advices. Moreover, I prefer warmer places? You know, I´m not used to live in cold time.

Money is a good point, I do not have idea about the life cost in NZ. However, I suppose that it is not too expensive. And I agree that one month is not enough to know all amazing places in both cities, but today I cannot spend more time there (I would love).

Gail, you are not a travel agent, but do you do some kind of tourism work, or something like that ? and do you use msn, skype or e-mail ?
I intend travel as soon as my job´s vacation begins.

Regards

NOTE EDITOR

Hi Marcelo,

Glad my answer was helpful. I think you need to check out cost of living. New Zealand is NOT a cheap place to live. It will depend on the exchange rate with your currency too how far your money goes.At least with a home stay you know the cost of food and board, and I assume you will prepay the language school fees.So it is really transport costs and spending money.

I am not involved in organising tours or tourist activities,Marcelo. My websites are my only tourist involvement. But you can contact me on the contact page if you have any specific questions. It goes through to my email. Even if you find you have to be careful with your money there are many free activities that are enjoyable if you like the outdoors -beaches, bush, parks, walks, museums etc

Kind Regards, Gail
