Tourism New Zealand WindSports...........are a natural fit. We are a windy country, being surrounded by sea. The wind impacts on our lives constantly, and for every person that hates the wind others love it!

When ever there is a storm brewing I can look at the beach below us, and see the kite sails going up and down as these fanatics enjoy the opportunity to surf, windsurf or kiteboard. Actually go down to the beach, and you may catch someone on the blokart land yacht racing along the hard sands.

Popular with both locals and tourism New Zealand WindSports are found at many holiday destinations, which almost always have a selection of these activities for tourists and holiday makers to try.

New Zealand windsports have introduced a number that can be experienced in tandem with an experienced guide, thus making it a relatively safe experience for the inexperienced.So trying such sports such as paragliding and hang gliding is opened up to everyone and many more are having a go of these exciting, adrenaline pumping sports.
